Six information and support sessions have been held in Tullamore, Mullingar, Ardee, Portlaoise, Galway and Dublin. A further three are planned for the autumn. A questionnaire designed to illicit the lived experience of people in mortgage distress aims to gather data that can be used to collectivise the issues and help change the dominant narrative. Early statistics indicate the high percentages of people who have not applied for legal aid, who cannot afford to engage a legal representative and do not trust the current services.
