Racial Justice: Irish Network Against Racism
INAR Support Training Advocacy Network Development (STAND)
In 2022 and 2023 CAN’s collaboration with the Irish Network Against Racism (INAR) on the STAND project aims to empower activists from minority ethnic backgrounds to lead partnerships that drive social change through our institutions.
CAN has engaged with INAR to develop a 15 session learning programme for Anti-Racist Facilitators who are:
- Devising and developing content of anti-racist sessions/programmes
- Enhancing and learning facilitation and leadership skills
- Becoming facilitators of statutory, community and voluntary organisations in anti-racism learning through INAR.
CAN’s partnership with INAR is supported by the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission, with CAN bringing our core participative methodologies that build on the intrinsic leadership of each member of the 17 Minority Ethnic Leaders group and the group as a whole, our commitment to the progressive implementation of Public Sector Duty section 42 and the need to understand the causes of and address racism and build alliances for safer and more equal communities.
